In spite of the absence of their Level 1 player Akshay Gogri, Spinayaks Squad led by Kunal Shah managed his team to the finals of the Six team Premier Table Tennis League at MCF club recently. Besides winning most of his singles matches and also crucial doubles matches, Kunal played like a real warrior ,with the support of Nitish Kumar Dhakappa 60+, for Spinayaks and motivated his team members to a winning spree. Their team’s best performance was in the two semi finals they played against Spincredibles and Play Ping Pong teams.

Spinayaks however lost in the finals to well balanced side of Table Titans led by Vinod Iyer and Spearheaded by their star player Parth Rambhia . The youngest member of Spinayaks team, little Anay Karamblekar playing in level-8 ,who had till then won all his matches, missed his last match, as Table Titans had gathered the required 17 points in the 10th match .

12 year old Anay, however received a special prize for his performance in this tournament. Another youngest player 8 year old Gatha Rajguru of team magzmumbai, who had made her tournament debut through this league, also received a special prize, in appreciation of her efforts in winning two points for her team. Both Anay and Gatha are trained by renowned TT Coach Girish Wagle at MCF.

The overall tournament was well organised, with participation coming from minimum 8 years to maximum 70+ age group. Mr. Ravi Ramaiya, TT Co-ordinator of MCF, thanked the team owners and participants in large number, for their support.
