Mahi Kejriwal brushed aside the challenge from Avantika Ahuja pulling a win in four games (3-1) in a Girls’ U-17 quarter-final match of the CCI 5-Star Mumbai City District Table Tennis Championship 2025, conducted by the MCDTTA and hosted by the Cricket Club of India.

Mahi Kejriwal defeated Avantika Ahuja romping to a 11-7, 11-7, 11-13, and 11-9 victory in a girls’ U-17 quarter-final match
Mahi started in a positive fashion by winning the first two games to enjoy a comfortable 2-0 advantage. Avantika was not prepared to give up and did well to clinch the third game over extra points. Mahi regained her composure and went to win a close fourth game to complete a satisfying 11-7, 11-7, 11-13, and 11-9 victory at the CCI Table Tennis hall on Tuesday.
In the semi-finals, Mahi will take on top seed Sara Jamsutkar who scored an authoritative 11-5, 11-3, and 11-6 win.
In a Boys’ U-15 quarter-finals encounter, top seed Akhil Kampani encountered a bit of a struggle as he lost the opening two games against Kush Kejriwal. But showing plenty of resilience and solid fighting qualities Akhil grabbed the next three game to carved out a well-deserved 4-11, 9-11, 11-2, 11-5, and 11-6 win and a place in the semi-finals.

Mahi Kejriwal beat Avantika Ahuja 11-7, 11-7, 11-13, 11-9;
Ishana Babu beat Riddhima Shah 11-6, 11-7, 11-3;
