VictoryCricket Club took a crucial 51-run first innings lead to record a win against M.V. Sports Club and to sneak into the finals of the 29th Late Ajit Naik Memorial MCA Boys’ U-14 Selection Trials Cricket Tournament 2025.
Batting first, VictoryCricket Club had managed to reach a total of 185 all out in 72 overs in the first innings on the first day of their 2-day semi-finals.
Later, the Victory CC bowlers, in particular Ayush Goho who picked 5 wickets for 41 runs bowled out the opposition for 134 runs in 64.5 overs in their first innings at the Worli Sports Club ground on Friday.
M.V. Sports Club batter Golu Pal top-scored with 35 runs. Ayush received excellent support from all-rounder Shreyas Khilare, who claimed 3 wickets for 25 runs.
Victory CC in their second innings scored 164 for 9 wickets in 55 overs. Shreyas Khilare struck another half century making 55 runs. Vedang Mishra also scored a half ton scoring 51 runs. M.V. Sports Club’s Aarav Yadav took 4 wickets for 59 runs.
All-rounder Shreyas Khilare for his brilliant performances with bat and ball was declared ‘Player of the Match’.
In the finals, Victory CC will clash with Rizvi Sports Club were fortunate to get the better of Islam Gymkhana on the toss of the coin as unseasonal rains had made the ground conditions unplayable in the first semi-finals.
The two-day finals are scheduled to be played on November 10 and 11.
