Number three batsman Utkarsh Raut was in cracking form as he scored a solid unbeaten 95 runs (50-balls, 10×4, 4×6) which was the highlight of R.D. Blasters CC’s comprehensive 92-run victory against Swarajya XI CC in a first match of the inaugural Suryavanshi Kshatriya T20 Cricket League, organized by Suryavanshi Kshatriya Dnyati Samaj, Mumbai, and played at the Mumbai Police Gymkhana on Tuesday.
Put in to bat first, Blasters batters dominated the Swarajya bowlers as they scored runs and a rapid pace. Utkarsh’s 50-balls innings which was studded with 10 hits to the boundary ropes and four big sixes helped Blaster post a massive total of 187 for 3 wickets from their 20 overs. Utkarsh’s teammate and opening bat Bhavik Raut contributed 36 runs. Ved Patil got 2 wickets for 21 runs.
Later, the Blasters bowlers were a disciplined lot and bundled out the Swarajya batsmen for just 90 runs in 17.3 overs. The only batters to get some runs were Omkar Patil 25 runs and Hrudayanshu Patil 22 runs. Hardik Raut 2 for 14, Samir Patil 2 for 20 and Bhavik Raut 2 for 24 claimed the wickets.
