Batting confidently Aaradhya Teli smashed an unbeaten 77 runs (81-balls) to steer Shiv Seva Cricket Club to a convincing 8-wicket victory against MCC Santacruz in a first round league match of the MCC Talent Search Boys’ U-14 Cricket League 2025, organised by Jwala Sports Foundation and played at the Oval Maidan on Tuesday.
In another match, all-rounder Ayush Sutar impressive showing 2 wickets for 14 runs and an unbeaten 61 runs was the hero as MCC Thane defeated Comrade Cricket Club by 5 wicket to make a winning start.
Sent in to bat, MCC Santacruz piled a challenging total of 164 runs all out in their stipulated 40 overs. Daiwik Shahu top-scored with 42 runs, while Sammukh Pawar and Dharya Gupta both contributed 30 runs each. Shiv Seva bowlers Daksh Kadam 2 for 18, Aahil Ali Sayed 2 for 20 and Sravgya Yadav 2 for 18 were among the wickets.
In response, Shiv Seva CC inspired by the solid batting performance of Aarashya easily crossed the finish line making 165 for the loss of just two wickets in 24.2 overs. Aradhya’s teammate Arvin Ambati chipped in with a composed 44 runs. Aaradhya Teli was declared the Player of the Match and he received a trophy and a gift voucher of Rs 1,000.
Batting first, Comrade CC managed to post a paltry total of 132 runs all out in 39 overs. Yash Kundar was the lone batter to score 21 runs. The Thane bowling attack was well-served by Shardul Joshi who picked 4 wickets for 22 runs and Ayush Sutar who claimed 2 wickets for 14 runs. In replay, MCC Thane overhauled the winning target reaching 133 runs for 5 wickets in 37.1 overs. Besides Ayush’s knock, Vivaan Gurjar added 24 runs to the total. Comrade CC’s Panav Pujara scalped 2 for 28. Ayush was named the Player of the Match and he received a trophy and a gift voucher of Rs 1,000.
