Sparsh Patil’s brilliant all-round performances was instrumental in Spider Sports Academy’s 110-run victory against Comrade Cricket Club in a second round league match of the MCC Talent Search Boys’ U-14 Cricket League 2025, organised by Jwala Sports Foundation and played at the Oval Maidan on Wednesday.

Sent in to bat first, Spider SA boosted by Sparsh’s unbeaten 38 runs managed to amass a total of 199 for the loss of 8 wickets from their 40 overs. Besides Sparsh’s fine knock, the other batsmen who got runs on the board were Virat Singh 37 runs and Rohit S. 30 runs which lifted the innings. Aarav Adirvkar 3 for 20 was Comrade CC’s most successful bowler.
Later, the Spider SA bowlers claimed wickets at the regular intervals to dismiss Comrade CC for just 89 run s in 25.2 overs. Elmer Rodrigues was the lone Comrade batsman to score 21 runs. Samarth Pise (2 for 10); Vihaan Wade (2 for 10) and Sparsh Patil (2 for 18) were the main wicket-takers.
Brief scores: Spider Sports Academy 199 for 8, 40 overs (Sparsh Patil 38*, Virat Singh 37, Rohit S. 30; Aarav Adirvkar 3/20) beat Comrades Cricket Club 89 all out, 25.2 overs (Elmer Rodrigues 21; Samarth Pise 2/10; Vihaan Wade 2/10, Sparsh Patil 2/18). Result: Spider Sports Academy won by 110 runs.
