Skipper Utkarsh Raut leading by example scored an unbeaten 67 runs to guide R.D. Blasters CC to a comprehensive 9-wicket victory against Suryavanshi Warriors CC in a second round match of the inaugural Suryavanshi Kshatriya T20 Cricket League, organized by Suryavanshi Kshatriya Dnyati Samaj, Mumbai, and played at the Mumbai Police Gymkhana on Thursday.
R.D. BlastersCC’s Utkarsh Raut scored an unbeaten 67 runs and was declared as the ‘Man of the Match’.
Choosing to bat, Suryavanshi Warriors found the going tough and were restricted to a low total of 117 runs for 9 wickets in their 20 overs. The batters who managed to score some runs were Shreyas Patil 32 runs, captain Ayush M. unbeaten 22 runs and Abhijit Patil 20 runs. Blasters CC’s Samir Patil took 3 wickets for 14.
In response Blasters CC got off to a shaky start losing opener Shubham Dalvi (3) with only 14 runs on the board in the third over. But, their captain Utkarsh took on the responsibility to pull his team through. Utkarsh 31-balls innings contained 9 hits to the boundary ropes and 3 massive sixes. He was well-supported by left-handed opening bat Bhavik Raut who stayed unbeaten on 44 runs.
Later, Inspired Royals CC were well-served by Pankaj Patil who claimed 4 wickets for 15 runs and led his team to a 5-wicket victory.
