Spider Sports Academy stormed into the finals by recording an 4-wicket victory against Bhosale Cricket Club in the first semi-finals of the MCC Talent Search Boys’ U-14 Cricket League 2025, organised by Jwala Sports Foundation and played at the Oval Maidan on Tuesday.
Spiders SA leg-spinner Samarth Pise took 3 wickets for 29 runs and won the Player of the Match award.
Leg-spinner Samarth Pise justified Spider SA captain’s decision to field first. He picked up 3 wickets for 29 runs to torment the rival batters and to restrict Bhosale CC to a low total of 119 all out in 34.4 overs. Samantha’s teammate Sparsh Mokashi played a good supporting role by taking 2 wickets for 18 runs.
Later, Spider comfortably chased down the winning target scoring 123 for the loss of 6 wickets in 25.2 overs. Opening bat Virat Singh scored 28 and Dhairya Pati contributed 27 runs to complete the win. Shlok Khapare 3 for 23 and Tanishk Bhosale 2 for 29 picked up the wickets. Samarth was later declared the “Player of the Match “.
