Ten teams are participating in the Friendship Cup-2 Cricket tournament for Sr. Citizens, being played at Poinsur Gymkhana, Kandivali ( West). This 10-10 Over tournament was inaugurated today by chief guest Ex- MP Mr. Gopal Shetty in presence of Mr. Mukesh Bhandari, President of Poinsur Gymkhana, who was the guest of honour.
There are six teams fro North Mumbai and four teams from Gujarat in this copetition. The enthusiasm of the players was clearly seen with their presence at the venue before 8 am in the morning today for their warm up session.
In the first match of the day, MCF-BB Jewels defeated Golden Star Cricket team in the Group A league match. The matches will be played for three days, with final to be played on Thursday 5th February at 1.30 pm.
