Former National Level Kho Kho player and Sports Promotor Mr. Sunil Lad has been appointed Chief Officer, Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation – Shops& Establishments. Mr. Lad, an ex-student of Dr. Shirodkar High School and Maharshi Dayanand College and had represented his college at the Inter Collegiate and led Mumbai University team at University level competitions between 1986-1989.

He also represented Yuvak Krida Mandal , Parel, in various competitions. Later, after completing his B.Com, he studied M.A. and LLM post graduation degrees, facing hardships. He was associated with many social and cultural organisations in Konkan and Mumbai. During his posting in Shops and Establishment department, he had created a lot of awareness about non-usage of plastic bags. He was felicitated by BMC for his work during the period of Covid Epidemic.
