All-rounder Nisarg Chaudhary brilliant performances with bat 109 runs (112-balls) and excellent bowling (3 for 28 and 5 for 22) was the highlight enabled MCC Yellow clinch a win over MCC Black on the basis of gaining a healthy first innings lead in the two-day Plate Group match of the ball MCC Pro 40 League, organised by Jwala Sports Foundation and played at the Oval Maidan.
All-rounder Nisarg Chaudhary won the ‘Player of the Match’ award.
MCC Black electing to bat, were dismissed for 112 in 61.5 overs in their first innings. Nisarg and Akarshak Gupta (3 for 14) were responsible to trigger the MCC Black collapse.
Later, MCC Yellow batters dominated the rival bowling attack. Nisarg and Pratirth Gaonkar 112 runs (142-balls) ensured MCC Yellow declare their first innings at 355 for 7 wickets in 68.2 overs.
MCC Black in their second innings were tottering at 73 runs for 8 wickets in 28 overs. Nisarg claimed fifer while Akarshak picked up 3 wickets for 13 runs.
Nisarg was the obvious choice for the Player of the Match award.
