Captain Omkar Patole Named Player of the Tournament
The third edition of the ‘Tax Sahi Hai Premier League (TPL) – Season 3’ Indoor Cricket Tournament concluded in grand style at Chitrakoot Turf, Andheri, with Viyom Foundation emerging as deserving champions after registering a comprehensive 124-run victory over Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) in the final. Leading from the front, captain Omkar Patole delivered another impressive performance and was deservedly named the Player of the Tournament. Organised by the MGA Foundation under the recognition of the Mahamumbai Indoor Cricket Sports Association, the tournament once again showcased the growing popularity of indoor cricket in Mumbai. The event received valuable support from ASSA ABLOY, RDC Concrete, AU Bank and Andromeda.

Viyom Foundation Dominates the Final
After impressive performances in the league stage, Viyom Foundation and Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation advanced to the final, where a closely fought contest was expected. However, Viyom Foundation completely dominated the match in all departments. After winning the toss, BMC opted to bowl first, but the decision failed to produce the desired result.

Omkar Patole Leads the Fightback
BMC bowlers Rupesh Chunekar and Rishikesh Jadhav made an excellent start by dismissing Shreyas three times in the opening two overs, restricting Viyom Foundation’s first pair to just 4 runs. However, skipper Omkar Patole turned the game around with an aggressive 20-run knock, bringing his team back into the contest. He was well supported by Ashwin Dongre and Prasad Ambre, who added 29 valuable runs. The final pair of Aniket Madiye and Rohit Kharat finished strongly with 26 runs, helping Viyom Foundation post a competitive total of 79 runs.
BMC Batting Collapses Under Pressure
Chasing the target, the BMC batsmen lost their composure while attempting big shots and kept losing wickets at regular intervals. Facing disciplined and accurate bowling from Viyom Foundation, the BMC batting line-up was dismissed 17 times, resulting in a score of minus 45 runs under the indoor cricket scoring system. Viyom Foundation eventually sealed a massive 124-run victory to lift the TPL-3 title in emphatic fashion.
Omkar Patole emerges as the competition’s ‘Superstar’; receives a bat signed by Mohsin Khan
Viyom Foundation’s Captain Omkar Patole displayed remarkable consistency throughout the tournament with his leadership, batting and tactical decisions. His all-round performances earned him the prestigious Player of the Tournament award. Therefore, he was honored with a bat signed by Mohsin Khan.
Under Patole’s captaincy, Viyom Foundation had scored more than 100 runs in every league-stage match, making them one of the strongest contenders for the title. After the victory, Viyom Foundation President Vinaya Toraskar congratulated the players and described the triumph as a complete team effort.
