Rahul Baitha and Rathika Suthanthira Seelan clinched the Men’s and Women’s titles respectively in the 49th Bombay Gymkhana Maharashtra State Open Squash Tournament 2026, played at the Bombay Gymkhana courts on Thursday.

Second seed Baitha played with plenty of grit and determination to put it across the top seed Om Semwal carving out a hard-fought 2-11, 11-7, 3-11, 11-5, and 11-7 victory in the Men’s finals.

Earlier, Tamil Nadu’s third-fourth seed Rathika Suthanthira Seelan proved too good for Mumbai’s second seed Akanksha Salunkhe by cruising to a 11-5, 11-3, and 11-3 win in the Women’s final.
In the Girls’ U-19 finals, Akanksha Gupta outplayed Vyomika Khandelwal posting a straight-game 11-4, 11-4, 11-2 win.
Purav Rambhia bagged the Boys’ U-19 title defeating Agastya Bansal 11-1, 11-3, 11-2.
