Renowned Indian Weightlifter, Mirabai Chanu fulfilled her long time wish of winning a medal at Asian Games. Having won medals in Olympics, World Weightlifting Championships and Commonwealth Games, 32year old Mirabai was chasing for medal at Asian Games. Today, her dream has come true, when she won a Silver medal in 49 kg. category.

In the shooting range, though Manu Bhaker and her team mates disappointedin the 10 mt air pistol event; the Indian Skeet shooters won bronze medals in the Men’s and Women’s team events. Indian Men’s Badminton team which played theirsemi final match against China, lost 1-3, satisfying themselves with Bronze medal. Both Lakshya and Ayush could not repeat their finest quarter final performance and lost their singles matches. However, Satvik and Chirag proved that they were the best doubles pair won the only match for their country.
In the game of table tennis, our mixed doubles pairs comprising of Harmet and Yashaswini and Manush and Diya moved into quarter finals, raising the hopes for more medals to be won. In the game of Squash too, three of our players are in the last 16 stage. So, there will be lot to watch from our Indian aspirants, who are fighting hard to win more and more medals.
