Arshiyan, Lavish scored tons in M.V. Sports Club 163-run win

Solid century knocks from the blades of Arshiyan Shaikh 104 runs (112-balls, 10×4,1×6), Lavish Singh unbeaten 140 runs (113-balls, 18×4,1×6) and combined by the mesmerising bowling spell from Aarav Yadav (7 for 38) powered M.V. Sports Club to a 163-run victory against Mumbai Police Gymkhana in a fourth-round match of the 29th Late Ajit Naik Memorial MCA Boys’ U-14 Selection Trials Cricket Tournament 2025, played at the New Era  ground, Azad Maidan on Monday.

Player-of-the-match – Lavish Singh who smashed an unbeaten 140 runs in M.V. Sports Club’s 163-run win against Mumbai Police Gymkhana, receives his ‘Player of the match’ award from the two umpires.

Choosing to M.V. Sports Club batters dominated the Mumbai Police bowling attack and smashed their bowlers to all corners of the park as they helped their team amass a huge total of 289 runs for 3 wickets in 45 overs. Later, the Mumbai Police batters struggled to score runs and with Aarav’s impressive bowling they lost wickets at regular intervals and were bundled out for a paltry 126 runs in 33.1 overs. Aarav received good support from Atul Choudhary (3 for 24) and secured their 163-run victory.

New Hind SC 121 for 7, 39 overs (Parth Shirodkar 64) lost Islam Gymkhana 122 for 3, 17 overs ( Umar Khute 60, Laraib Shaikh 52). Result: Islam Gymkhana won by 7 wickets.

Park CC 65 all out, 17.1 overs (Shivraj Thorat 3/23), Ayush Goho 3/25, Tanay Mahansaria 3/6) lost Victory CC 68 for no loss 5.5 overs. Result: Victory CC won by 10 wickets.

Worli Cricket Club 45 all out, 24.5 overs (Abdullah Khatri 3/8, Ajay More 2/16, Pranav Paswan 2/8) lost Rizvi Sports Club 46 for 4, 13 overs (Khushal Mohape 25; Kaushal Mhatre 2/14). Result: Rizvi Sports Club by 6 wickets.
