Comrades Cricket Academy showed remarkable fighting qualities as they defeated Shiv Seva Cricket Club by nine runs in the second semi-final of the MCC Talent Search Boys’ Under-14 Cricket League 2025, organized by Jwala Sports Foundation and played at the Oval Maidan on Monday. The victorious Comrades CA will meet Spider Sports Academy in the final later this month.

Electing to bat first, Comrades CA posted a challenging score of 182 runs for 9 wickets from their quota of 40 overs. Elmer Rodrigues 29 runs, Shubh Agrawal 28 runs, Abuzar Waseem 27 runs and Heet Akola 26 runs were key players to contribute to the total. Daksh Kadam 2 for 20 and Viaan Patil 2 for 20 got the wickets.
In reply, Shiv Seva Cricket Club after getting off to a positive start all of a sudden lost the momentum as they suffered a lower order collapse and were bowled out for 173 runs in 39.1 overs. Opening batters Swastik Malvankar 64 runs (91-balls, 6×4) and Hridaan Mistry 50 (58-balls) and Arwin Ambati 23 runs raised hopes cruising to victory. But Comrades CA’s left-arm spinners Veer Shah 2 for 26 and Aarav Advikar 2 for 38 fashioned the win for their team.
Veer who also had a hand in a couple of run-outs was declared the ‘Player of the Match’.
