Gaikwad’s unbeaten ton powers Group Satellite to big win

Powered by Deepak Gaikwad’s unbeaten century knock 107 runs (64-balls, 16×4, 2×6) was the highlight of Group Satellite Developers 65-run win against Times of India in a league match of the Insurance Shield Cricket Tournament 2025-26 organised by Oriental Insurance Company and played at United Cricketers ground, Cross Maidan.

Sent in to bat, Gaikwad and his opening partner Abijeet Rohandiya 67 (44-balls, 9×4, 1×6), smashed the Times of India bowlers to all corners of the ground and helped Group Satellite amass a challenging total of 216 runs for one wicket from their 20 overs. The duo put together 156 runs for the first wicket in 14.4 overs before Rohandiya was dismissed. 

In reply, Times of India were restricted to 151 for 7 in 20 overs. Shekar Kadam 46 and Prasad Patil 25 were the only two batters to get the runs. Manas Chavan 4 for 15 and Krish Pardhi 2 for 48 picked up the wickets. 

Gaikwad was declared Player of the Match.
