Hi 5 Western Suburban and Pronets Club clinched the boys’ and girls’ Under-13 titles respectively in the Bombay YMCA (Ghatkopar Branch) organized 29th Open State Level Basketball Tournament 2025, played at Ghatkopar YMCA courts. The tournament was conducted under the auspices of the Maharashtra Basketball Association and the Greater Mumbai North District Basketball Association (GMNDBA).

In an exciting and closely contested boys’ finals, Hi 5 Western Suburban put up a determined performance to defeat Pronets Club 62-57 (half-time : 24-20) to emerge winners.

The match showcased outstanding talent, with Subhrant Babu scoring 28 points for Hi 5 Western Suburban and Harnesh Ganguli with 18 points playing the lead role for Pronets Club, making them the highest scorers of the final.
Earlier, in girls’ summit clash, Pronets Club managed to get the better of Vibgyor Sports Club 42-38 (half-time: 21-19) to seal the title.
The game also witnessed a thrilling battle for supremacy. The match featured impressive performances, from Khushi Khorgaonkar who contributed 15 points for Pronets Club, while Aarna Borade scored 16 points for Vibgyor Sports, and the duo emerged as the top scorers of the match.
The Hi5 Western Suburban, the victorious boys’ team, received the winning trophy from Govind Muthkumar, General Secretary, MSBA, while Pronets Club, the winning girls’ outfit, received the champions’ trophy from Madhu Shetty, President, GMNDBA.
Results – Girls’ U-13 (finals): Pronet Sports Club (Kushi Khorgaonkar 15) beat Vibgyor Sports Club (Aarna Borade 16) – 42-38 (half-time: 21-19).
Boys’ U-13 (finals): Hi5 Western Suburban (Subhrant Babu 28) beat Pronets Sports Club (Harnesh Ganguli 18) – 62-57 (half-time: 24-20).
