Maharashtra Boys and Girls have shown initial wins with their respective easy victories over Pondicherry and Andhra Pradesh respectively; at the 35th Sub.Jr. National Kho Kho competition in Kurikshetra, Haryana. For Maharashtra Girls, Piyusha Panmalkar, Aparna Varde, Rutuja Survase and Vedika Tamkhade displayed good show, while for Maharashtra Boys,Vikramsingh Rathod, Vedant Gaikwad & Kartavya Gadekar contributed to their team’s win.
Onerall performance of Maharashtra teams was good on the first day, clearly indicating that they were all prepared to win their other league matches. In other contests of Sub.Jr. Boys West Bengal scored narrow win over Uttar Pradesh.
