MCC Green emerged champions defeating MCC Blue by three wickets in the Elite Group final of the MCC Pro 40 League Cricket Tournament 2026, organised by Jwala Sports Foundation and played at the Oval Maidan.
Sent in to bat first, MCC Blue batted positively and posted a decent total of 217 for 6 from their quota of 40 overs. The leading batters were Zaid Mufti who scored an unbeaten 53-ball 68 runs and Diyan Kubadia 63 fron 61 balls. Yaseen Shaikh 2 for 29 was MCC Green’s only successful bowler.
In reply, MCC Green played confidently and managed to cross the line scoring 220 for 7 in 35.2 overs to clinch the win and lift the title.
The batters responsible for their success were Amanat Arif Hussain who cracked a 70-ball 77 runs and Dev Katoda who contributed a patient unbeaten 75 runs from 96 balls. MCC Blue bowlers tried to put the brakes on the Green innings as Saud Mansoori 3 for 47 and Zaid Mufti 3 for 56 picked crucial wickets, but they could not prevent their opponents from sealing the win.
MCC Green batter Amanat Arif Hussain (77 runs) won the Player of the Match award.
