The 7th edition of the NSCI Badminton League (NBL) is set to be played from August 15-17 at the NSCI courts in Worli.

The league will feature six teams battling for honours. Each team will have 16 players, which mandatorily includes two women’s players on each side. The key is to have a well-balanced team, as the ties will be contested on a best-of-five basis.
The teams will battle only in doubles, which include Men’s doubles and Mixed doubles. This tournament, which is growing in popularity, will see the teams going all out in their bid to settle old scores. Spectators are urged to watch and cheer the teams in action.
The following teams will take part in the tournament — Rajdhani Racqueteers – owners Mayur Saraf & Amit Modi, Solitaire Shuttlers – owners Neeral Shah & Sanjay Shah, Super Smashers – owners Ashu Jain & Asad Adenwala, King Shuttlers – owners Suneet Kabra & Bimal Parikh, Smashing Stars – owners Gautam Asudani & Rohit Kapoor and Josh – owners Vishesh Agarwal & Puja Kothari.
Prominent players who will be participating include, playing Mintikaur a former Junior National Champion, Sidharth Nandel, who played for India at World Rackethlon Championship. For the first-time ever an owner of a team Suneet Kabra (King Shuttlers), will be playing as a marqee player of the team.
The players’ auction is set for July 26 from 6 pm onwards. A total of 96 players will come under the hammer.
