Parthav Kelkar smoothly cruises into men’s final

Parthav Kelkar called the shots from the start and cruised to a straight games 11-3, 11-3, 11-9 win against Gaurav Parte in a Men’s semi-final match of the CCI 5-Star Mumbai City District Table Tennis Championship 2025, conducted by the MCDTTA, hosted by the Cricket Club of India and played at the CCI’s Table Tennis hall.

In the summit clash Kelkar will face off against Shihan Palkiwala who was given a walkover from Shubham Ambre who is unwell.

In boys’ under-19 semi-final encounters, defending champion Parth Magar defeated Jehan Kolah 11-7, 9-11, 11-5, and 12-10 and Shlok Jhaveri rallied splendidly to overcome Arnav Wagh posting a 8-11, 11-3, 11-7, 6-11, and 11-3 victory.

Results (all semi-finals): Boys U-11: Yuvaan Singh Walia bt Aadi Shah 11-5, 11-7, 11-6; Avyaan Singh Walia bt Abeer Gore 11-8, 11-6, 11-6.

Boys’ U-13: Akhil Kampani bt Avyaan Singh Walia 8-11, 6-11, 11-7, 11-6, 13-11; Yashan Kolah beat Hridaan Gundre 11-6, 11-3, 11-9.

Boys’ U-15: Divyansh Rathod bt Akhil Kampani 11-9, 9-11, 11-9, 11-8; Shlok Jhaveri bt Nikhil Agrawal 11-2, 11-4, 11-4.

Boys’ U-17: Aditya Dalal bt Parth Magar 11-5, 10-12, 6-11, 12-10, 11-9; Arnav Wagh beat Jehan Kolah 11-9, 11-9, 14-12;

Boys’ U-19: Parth Magar bt Jehan Kolah 11-7, 9-11, 11-5, 12-10; Shlok Jhaveri beat Arnav Wagh 8-11, 11-3, 11-7, 6-11, 11-3.

Men’s: Parthav Kelkar bt Gaurav Parte 11-3, 11-3, 11-9; Shihan Palkiwala bt Shubham Ambre conceded match due to illness.
