On the occasion of the birth anniversaries of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose and late Balasaheb Thackeray, the Poinsur Gymkhana inspired by Member of Parliament Shri Gopal Shetty celebrated their Founder’s Day on Sunday by organizing a “Vyakhan” . The guest speaker was Vile Parle MLA Parag Alvani, who appreciated Poinsur Gymkhana and its president MP Gopal Shetty for organizing such lecture series for the last 20 years.
Chief Guest MP Gopal Shetty, Y C Pawar – a Retired IPS and MLA Parag Alvani ji paid rich tributes to Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose and late Balasaheb Thackeray and highlighted important aspects of their lives.
On this occasion A Mono Act on Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose was performed by Darshan Mahajan, which was followed by an inspirational song ‘Jayostute‘ by well known singer Mrs. Pallavi Kelkar.
The organisers also felicitated Senior Police Officers, Doctors and Railway Officers from North Mumbai for their excellent social work during the lockdown period as Corona Warriors.
Mr. Gopal Shetty handed over a cheque of Rs.25,000/- to “Gramvikas Mandal Shaikskhanik Sanstha” and Rs.11,000/- to Mr. Darshan Mahajan.
The MP also lauded the Gymkhana office bearers Messers Mukesh Bhandari, Karunakar Shetty, Harshadbhai Mehta, Jayesh Modi,. Mahesh Raut and Nitin Pradhan for their hard work. BJP North Mumbai President Ganesh Khankar and his office bearers, Dr. Rannaben Doshi, Corporators of North Mumbai also graced the function along with large number of local residents.
