A determined Reserve Bank of India put up a fighting performance to pull off a narrow 14-run win against India First Life Insurance in Elite Group league match of the Insurance Shield Cricket Tournament 2025-26 organised by Oriental Insurance Company and played at United Cricketers ground, Cross Maidan.

Guest of Honour, Unmesh Khanvilkar, Secretary, MCA along with Milind Tendulkar, DGM, Oriental Insurance and Sunita Ingle, DGM, Oriental Insurance seen at the inauguration ceremony. Also present were Regional Managers Rajendra Chavan, Nitin Patil and Tarun Bose and other distinguished dignitaries of Oriental Insurance Company.
Choosing to bat first, Reserve Bank amassed a challenging total of 153 for 5 wickets from their quota of 20 overs. Opening bat, Vishwas Krishna top-scored with a 58-ball 89 runs. Raju More 34 runs and Ketan Payan 25 runs made useful contributions to the innings. India First Life Insurance’s Prabhat T. took 2 wickets for 26 runs.

In reply, India First Life Insurance batted positively but could only manage to make 139 runs for 2 wickets in 20 overs. Ritesh Poojari 44 runs, Ankit Shastri 39 runs and Prem Mehta 34 runs, tried to take their team to victory. Reserve Bank’s Ketan Dange claimed 2 wickets for 13 runs.
In another match, United Patni Industries cruised to a 9-wicket victory against Mumbai Port Trust.
