In a dramatic final, MCC Santacruz extricated itself from out of the Spider’s web to win via the super over the MCC Little Star Cricket League (Under 14) Tournament organised by Jwala Sports Foundation.
Winning th1e toss, Spider CC opted to bowl first and restricted MCC to 160 for seven in their 25 overs stint. Rudra Sudhir Pabale with 48 runs from 31 deliveries was the architect of the MCC total. Vihaan Wade with three wickets for eight runs did the star turn for Spider.
In their reply, Spider scored an identical 160 for 9. Nivaan Nishant Dham’s 66 from 56 balls was the mainstay while Pabale after sparkling with the willow followed it up with four for 36 for the well-served Man of the Match award.
In the Super Over, MCC came up trumps.
