IILF Wealth Mumbai International Open Chess
GM Elect Shardul Gagare of Maharashtra with four points from as many wins shares the lead with two others at the conclusion of the fourth round of the IIFL Wealth Mumbai International Open Chess Tournament 2016, and being played at Mount Litera School International, Bandra (East), Mumbai, here, on Sunday.

Leading the field with Shardul were International Masters Swapnil S Dhopade and Stany GA all with 4 points each. Following the trio were seven other players including IMs Nitin S, Ravi Teja S, Akshat Khamparia, Dinesh K Sharma, Himanshu Sharma, Anup Deshmukh among others, all with 3.5 points each.
Meanwhile, top seed Mohammad Fahad Rahman (3 points) shared the lead after the third round of the IIFL Wealth Mumbai International Junior Chess Tournament. Sharing the lead along with Mohammad Fahad Rahman of Bangladesh, were Shelke Sankarsha, Dhanush Ragav, D Gukesh among others.
This 171 player nine round International Junior event has the participation of players from six countries and runs till 5th Feb, 2016. This nine round Swiss tournament has an total prize money of Rs 7.5 lakhs with the winner standing to get richer by Rs 1.5 lakhs, the highest in the world for a Junior event.
IIFL Wealth Mumbai International Results (Round 4): Gagare Shardul (4) bt Bharambe Bhavik C (3), Himanshu Sharma (3) lost to Swapnil S Dhopade (4), Stany G A (4) bt Likhit Chilukuri (3), Gusain Himal (3.5) drew with Nitin S (3.5), Abhishek Das (2.5) lost to Ravi Teja S (3.5), Akshat Khamparia (3.5) bt Kulkarni Vinayak (2.5), Audi Ameya (2.5) lost to Sharma Dinesh K (3.5), Muthaiah A L (3.5) bt Snehal Bhosale (2.5), Anup Deshmukh (3.5) bt Akshay V Halagannavar (2.5), Manush Shah (2.5) drew with Navalgund Niranjan (2.5).
