Top seed Sara Jamsutkar was on a roll and outplayed Naira Lodha storming to a straight games victory in a girls U-15 quarter-finals match of the of the CCI 5-Star Mumbai City District Table Tennis Championship 2025, conducted by the MCDTTA and hosted by the Cricket Club of India.

Playing with a high degree of confidence Sara controlled the rallies and with not much of a challenge from Naira she clinched a quick 11-4, 11- 4, and 11-4 verdict at the CCI Table Tennis hall on Tuesday.
Meanwhile in a closely contested match in the same category, Anaisha Abhyankar encountered quite a strong fight from Insiya Bhavnagarwala, but managed carved out a 11-6, 11-7, 9-11, 5-11, and 11-6 win to seal her place in the last four.
Top seed Akhil Kompani staved off a spirited challenge from Avyaan Singh Walia coasting to a 11-9, 11-6, 8-11, and 11-8 victory against Avyaan Singh Walia in a boys’ U-13 round of 16 match.
However, Avyaan’s brother Yuvaan Singh Walia enjoyed a successful outing as he easily defeated Abeer Gore charging to straight games 12-10, 11-4, 11-8 victory to advance into the quarter-finals.
In the most interesting and exciting match, Viraj Ajgaonkar played with plenty of grit and determination as he staged a remarkable fight back to sideline Anoush Gokhale, winning in five games at 11-13, 11-8, 8-11, 11-8, and 12-10.
