The game of Table Tennis gave her recognition at the state, national and international level during late 70s and 80s. She represented India at five World TT Championships. Even after her marriage to international level Table tennis player Atul Parikh, she had continued with her game. But, after taking retirement from TT in 1987, she began her new innings. With same enthusiasm and Vyoma Shah Parikh found her space in Painting.

Vyoma Parikh
She initially trained herself at Nootan Kala Kendra, under Anand Pardese and later Pramod Kurlekar, by studying the works of M.F. Husain, B. Prabha and N.S. Bendre, before she developed her own skills.

Beautiful Painting by Vyoma
Speaking about her work, Vyoma says, “Today, my work sits between realism and abstraction. I construct landscapes and waterscapes through layered colour, drawing on memory rather than place. These are not locations, but impressions—familiar without being fixed.”
Vyoma is extremely happy to announce that her solo exhibition ‘Whispers in the Wild’, will be held at Jehangir Art Gallery, presenting 20 paintings on linen alongside a 5.5 ft carved totem in oil—an exploration of stillness, reflection, and quiet beauty.
The exhibition will be open from 4th May 2026 till 10th May 2026 between 11am and 7 pm.
