Film maker Anurag Basu’s latest film ‘Ludo’ released on OTT Platform recently,has been in the news. In this film lead actor Aditya Roy Kapoor plays a Ventriloquist and entertains the audience with his Alter Ego in the form of a 3 D Puppet. The Puppet has been designed by popular Ventrioloquist from Mumbai Ramdas Padhye and his son Satyajit Padhye. ‘Ludo’ becomes the first film, where the hero posesses his alter ego in the form of a Puppet.
According to Ramdas Padye the maker of this puppet with 53 years experience, director Anurag Basu had approached him with this proposal to make an alter ego in the form of puppet for his film’s lead actor, whom he wanted to show as a Ventrioquist. He was highly impressed with his collection. Like father, his son Satyajit also impressed him with his knowledge in this field. And both of them began work on making the 3 D Alter Ego of Aditya Roy Kapoor and took his 3 D photos first. It was hard work but the experienced father and son duo suceeded in creating this 3 D character of a Puppet. Satyajit also offeed training to Aditya on the lip movements and his efforts paid results as Anurag Basu thanked Satyajit after completition of this film.
