Booster’s Academy, one of the most prominent academies in the Thane district, dominated the seniors final with a facile 3-1 win over their junior string to bag the team honours in the 2nd Thane District Ranking and Inter-Club Table Tennis Tournament hosted by JSW Steel and Jindal Table Tennis Academy under the auspices of Thane District Table Tennis Association at Vasind today.
Likewise in the junior/sub-junior team final, it was the Officer’s Club’s seniors, who bagged the trophy by beating hosts Jindal TT Academy ‘A’ 3-1. However, the day’s most thrilling final was the between Dombivli Gymkhana and the Boosters’s Academy, which went to the wire before the Dombivli Gymkhana boys triumphed 3-2 to claim the cadet/midget team honours.
