Mumbai seasoned pair of Ulhas Shirke And Jitu Mawani bagged the men’s doubles (plus 60) gold in table tennis at the Masters National Games , held At Sama Sports Complex, Vadodara. The pair brought honours for Mumbai as they defeated Karnataka pair of B.Vishu and Srishalimam 3-1 in the final.
Incidentally both Ulhas and Jitu won bronze medals in their respective singles as well. Apart from players from Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat, some of the players from states like Delhi, Himachal Pradesh and Telangana too participated in the event restricted to men’s and women’s singles and doubles.
