Veteran actress Neetu Singh Kapoor celebrates her 60th birthday today, which reminds that this talented actress who made her comeback in acting few years ago, has also completed little more than 50 years in her acting career. Not many are aware that Neetu Singh made her debut as a child artiste through the super hit Hindi film ‘Suraj’ in 1966 in the company of super stars of yesteryears Rajendra Kumar and Vaijayantimala. This was followed by ‘Dus Lakh’ and then ‘Do Kaliyan’ in which she played title double role of Ganga and Jamuna – the two little twin sisters. Those days she was popularly known with the name of Baby Sonia.

As Baby Sonia, she also played child artiste in Jitendra starrer ‘Waris’ and 8 years later she was the leading lady of her so called evergreen uncle in the film ‘Dharamveer’ followed by seven more films including ‘The Burning Train’. Incidentally, Neetu Singh has also played lead opposite all the top actors of that time like Amitabh Bachchan, Rajesh Khanna & Shashi Kapoor who later turned out to be her real life uncle, when she married another talented actor Rishi kapoor in 1980. Neetu and Rishi acted in 12 films together. Today, she celebrates 38 years of successful marriage and is a proud mother of another talented actor Ranbir kapoor. Magzmumbai wishes her a very happy 60th birthday, though she looks much younger than 60. Fitness seems to be her health mantra.
