Students of ‘Sanjay Hegde Sports Academy’ Karjat and Sanpada have been doing a remarkable job in various sports meets. Thanks to Seva Sahayog Foundation and Coach Nitin Patole for encouraging the children from this academy to take part in different sports at the competitive level.
Recently, at the Avishkar Sports Foundation organised athletic competitions, which were held in Kalyan on 15th March 2023 the students of Sanjay Hegde Sports Academy put up a good show by bagging 33 medals. On this occasion, Seva Sahayog Foundation was awarded the 1st Champions trophy. This would not have been possible without the hard work put in by Coach Nitin Patole, while creating these young champions.
It may be recalled that only few years ago, before his untimely death, Mr. Sanjay Hegde a real sportslover had taken the initiative to start a Sports Academy at Karjat for the benefit of deserving and needy school students around Karjat area. Later, another sports academy in her husband’s memory was started at Sanpada, Navi Mumbai, by his wife Dr. Asmita Hegde with the support of Seva Sahayog Foundation to carry forward the good work initiated by her husband. The recent performance of these students is the best tribute to Late Sanjay Hegde.
