It was roaring day for boys and girls in different age groups as they shattered 12 records in different age groups on the opening day of the three-day Annual Sub- Jr. and Junior Aquatic Meet – 2025 of the Greater Mumbai Amateur Aquatic Association held at Somaiya Sports Academy at Vidyavihar today.
Rivan Kolshi ( MGMO)
Shubham had a brace of golds while winning the 100m breast (01:07.70) and 100m butterfly strokes (01:10.08) in the boys in age group of 15-17years, While Rivan Kolshi from MGMO swimming pool, re-wrote 100m (01:06.88) and 400m freeestyle (05:08.03) events in the boys in groups III.
Among others to be among record-breakers were Samira Mehrotra from Radio Club, in the 100m breast stroke in girls under 15-17 category while Utkarsh Mehra (JVPG), who like Anvi Deshwal (Otters)- in 200m back stroke , triumphed in the 100m in the 13-14 age group.
The group III (in age group III) was dominated by YMCA’s Amalaullah Dholakwalla, who proved cut above the rest in her age group (11-12 years), as she set the pool on fire with a triple golds in the 100m breasts stroke as well as 100 and400m freestyle events.
