LANKY collegian Vishesh Sarda had to bring out his best to quell the spirited challenge of Dhruv Ramaiya before entering the men’s singles main draw of the MCF- TSTTA 2nd District Ranking Table Tennis tournament, hosted by MCF at their Sports Complex At Borivali (West) late night night.

Vishesh romped though first two games with ease before Dhruv hit back to capture the third game. However, the fourth game was just a touch and go affair before Vishesh prevailed at 11-5, 11-5, 6-11,11-9. Joining him the main draw were Samyak Langde, Kanishk Bothra, Maruti Kasture, Nitesh Kumwat, Shivam Srivastav, Jayant Shenoy and Shantanu Joshi.
Dhruv, however, overpowered Rishaan Kanani 3-11, 14-12, 11-8, 11-7 to enter the boys U-19 singles main draw. So too, Zain Shaikh, who got the better of Agastya Shetty 11-9, 11-5, 5-11, 11-8, Akansh Sahoo, a 13-11, 8-1111-4,11-3 over Aarya Panchal, and Ahan Gosar, a straight games winner over Adtiya Shah 11-3, 11-7, 11-5 to sail into the main draw.
