With just one win in four matches, Mumbai Indians team in 2026 IPL T-20, seems to be lacking the ‘Killer Instinct’, which is a must for a team, which aspires to be in the play offs, this year. The five times IPL champs, who have a good team of players on paper, are not able to perform as a team during the last three matches played by them. Moreover, after losing two consecutive matches, the team management did not include new bowler or an all rounder in the team, for their match against RCB.

Their run rate during the first six overs need to be pushed further, if they have to remain in the competition and win their rest of the matches. The batting is fine, but this time their bowlers are being exposed by young batsmen from rival teams, taking them for granted. So, much is expected from them to bowl variety with proper field placement,by the captain. The aggressive attitude of players and team spirit is also missing on the field, which is clearly visible through their body language, as compared to the other rival team players.
There is still time to make a comeback through rest of the matches and if the team management and team leader take note of this, Mumbai Indians can still stand tall amongst the probables for the Knock out stage.
