Padma Vibhushan Legendary playback singer Ashatai Bhosale passed away today morning due to heart failure. She was 92. Ashatai was admitted to Mumbai’s Breach Candy Hospital for multiple organ failure.

The sad news about her death spread across the globe and her admirers all over the world posted condolence messages on social media, speaking about her versatility as a singer. Ashatai, whose career was spread over eight decades, had recorded 12,000 songs in several languages. Besides receiving several awards, she was also honoured with the prestigious Dadasaheb Phalke award. Her funeral will take place around 4 pm on Monday 13th April at Shivaki Park Crematorium. Before that the Public can pay respects at her residence Casa Grande in Lower Parelfrom 11 am to 3 pm.
President Droupadi Murmu paid tribute to legendary playback singer , describing her death as an “irreparable loss”. The President stated that Bhosle’s passing created a “huge void” and remembered her as an artist who “lived life on her own terms”.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid heartfelt tributes to legendary singer Asha Bhosale, hailing her as an “iconic and versatile” voice. He highlighted her “timeless brilliance” across decades, stating her songs would inspire generations and her legacy would endure in the hearts of millions.
