Today was the day of our Indian athletes especially in the track-n- field events, as they put up a good show in 4×400 mts relay, winning a Silver medal in this mixed team event. Thanks to Poovamma Raju, Manu T.S., Vishal Thennarasu and Vithya Ramraj for displaying a good team spirit. But, the real star was Vithya Ramraj, who gave her best in the last lap, while overtaking the Vietnam athlete to occupy second position and win a Silver medal for her team.

Another star performer was Seema Kumari, who won a Bronze medal in the Women’s 10,000 mts run. She brought this medal to India in this event, after a long wait of 16 years. Besides these two events, there is good progress by other Indian athletes in different team and individual events and they will be seen in action tomorrow, starting from 4.14 am onwards ( Indian Time) and there are big expectations from them to increase our medals tally.
