Digvijay outplays Shahyan in CCI snooker semi-finals

Punjab cueist Digvijay Kadian was on a high as he constructed back-to-back century breaks of 113 and 104 to score an authoritative 6-1 win against Mumbai’s youngster Shahyan Razmi in a semi-final match of the Rs 13.5 lakh CCI Snooker Classic 2026 and played at the Cricket Club of India’s Wilson Jones billiards hall on Saturday.

Punjab’s Digvijay Kadian was in outstanding form an defeated Mumbai’s Shahyan Razmi 6-1 in a semi-final match.

The Punjabi who trains with legendary Alok Kumar was in top form as he completely dominated the match and hardly gave Shahyan much of a chance to get into the game.

Digvijay won a close opening frame and with a run of 49 also won the second to race to a 2-0 lead. Shahyan who plays a free attacking game rolled in a neat effort of 71 to snatch the third frame and narrow the lead.

The former Junior National snooker champ, then uncorked a break of 83 to take the fourth and later a won a close fifth on the black to widen the lead. Thereafter, he came into his own and uncorked two brilliant breaks to sign off with a flourish and advance to the final.
