9 year old Rajwardhan Tiwari 4th standard student from Barshi, Solapur , Maharashtra, invited all the attention in the semi finals and finals of the UTT-Butterfly TT Super League matches played at Khar Gymkhana yesterday evening. Playing for his team Bayside Spinners`, little Rajwardhan won crucial matches against Raghav Mahajan 2-1 in semi finals against Century Warriors and then went on to secure two crucial points for his team, while playing against Ayaan Athar of ultimate winners Phantom Stars.

Spearheaded by international star Sanil Shetty, who scored 3 points for Phantom Stars, against another upcoming international level player Jash Modi of Bayside Spinners TTC . This gave his team the much needed lead in the finals. Sanil thereafter partnering Shruti Amrute added 2 more points to their tally, defeating Jash Modi and Senhora D’Souza 2-1.

Phantom Stars were also helped by veteran Onkar Jog who also scored 3 points against Ketan Palwankar, and Annisha Patra added 2 against Shukruti to increase the lead with sufficient margin. Shruti Amrute, Kaustubh Girgaonkar, Ayaan Athar added one point each individually and when their team needed just one point for win Annisha and Kautubh doubles pair did the job for their team, by winning the first game against Parth and Shukruti.

Earlier in the semi finals Phanton Stars had defeated Mumbai Mozartt 14-11, inspite of international player young Divyanshi Bhowmick contributing 3 points in singles and 3 points in doubles partnering Ishan Khandekar for Mumbai Mozartt. In this match too Sanil Shetty played a steller role, contributing much needed 6 points through his singles and doubles partnering Shruti Amrute. In other semi finals favourites Centrry Warriors who had topped the super league chart, failed to repeat their performance and lost tamely to Bayside Spinners TTC 8-14.
