You can’t call him a Grandpa, just because in real life he is a grandfather aged 75+. Look at his game, his fitness and his movements while playing his match and he will surely inspire one and all. Pinakin Sampat is so much passionate about Table Tennis and he still plays with the same enthusiasm and spirit he played during his young days. Table Tennis is in his famly. His cousin Late Dilip Sampat was an international TT player, who played for India during late 50s and early 60s.

Now, Pinakin has carried forward his legacy, by participating in all state, national and international Masters’ TT events. Pinkain has already won various Masters’ TT championships, in his age group, besides winning a Gold in doubles at the World Masters’ TT championship held in Muscat, Oman in January 2023. What more does he need to prove his performance at this advancing age ? His achievements and fitness certainly inspires the young and old.
Pinakin Sampat is also an authority in High purity water applications. He still manages his company as Water treatment Technical Advisor & consultant-High Purity water applications. Last week, he was seen playing in Deccan Gymkhana Pune at the 1st Masters State Ranking TT tournament 2026. And he did win the 75+ Men’s singles event, beating present national champion Satish Kulkarni in the well contested final, which was stretched to five games. And, this is the best example of his outstanding 2nd innings in this game. Pinakin has cleverly adjusted himself with the new changes brought into this game and he is comfortable playing against faster top spin and long pimpled rubbers. Magzmumbai wishes him all the best.
