Inspired by fine bowling performances of Prem Gori five wickets for 13 runs and Jay Bhanushali four wickets for 11 runs, M.B. Union CC managed to snatch a 20-run victory against YMMA Cricket Club in a low-scoring third round Group-B league match of the 3rd MCA Under-19 Cricket Tournament organized by Bhama Cricket Club in association with Mumbai Cricket Club under the aegis of the Mumbai Cricket Association and played at the Navroz CC ground, Azad Maidan.
Sent in to bat, M.B. Union were bowled out for a measly 78 all out in 27.1 overs. Kartik Patankar three for nine and Rajveer Gaitonde three for 16 were responsible to claim the wickets and restrict the M.B. innings.
But, M.B. Union fought back and contained the YMMA Cricket Club batters dismissing them cheaply for just 58 all out in 18.2 overs. Gori and Bhanushali were responsible for destroying the opposition batsmen and bowling their team to victory.
