South Mumbai United score easy 7-1 win


South Mumbai United produced a superb combined performance and handed Mumbai Vikings a 7-1 defeat in a Yuva President League Girls’ Under-17 match of the Mumbai District Football Association (MFA) League 2023-2024 and played at the Neville D’Souza ground, Bandra on Saturday.

Leading South Mumbai’s charge were strikers Pavitra Desai and Zeenat Shaikh, both scoring two goals each while teammates Samaira Katyal, Tania Sarkar and Adelia Picardo contributed one each while Mumbai Vikings scored their lone goal through Khyati Jasani’s efforts.

In another match, CFCI Rangers blanked Vision Rescue by a comfortable 3-0 margin. Rangers got their goals through Naisha Kengor who struck a brace while Nikita Emmadi netted one to complete the win.

However, CFCI Falcons were unable to put up a fight and went down tamely to Football School of India losing by a 0-3 margin. Football School of India had things much their own way and scored their goals through Prisha Viral, Ayusha Sartape and Harleen Sokhi, all contributing one each to secure their win.
