Opportunistic striker Prem Shinde played a key role by scoring both the goals in leading Mumbai Customs to a comfortable 2-0 win against Reserve Bank of India in a Yuva President League Girls’ Under-17 match of the Mumbai District Football Association (MFA) League 2023-2024 and played at the Neville D’Souza ground, Bandra.
Customs started in offensive fashion and in the 10th minute Shinde struck the first goal to give his team the advantage. Shinde once again showed excellent finishing touch by striking the second goal to double Customs lead 2-0 in the 29th minute.
Reserve Bank attacker tried to put up a fight in the second session but all their efforts went in vain, while Customs also wasted chances and failed to score more goals and win by a bigger margin.
Earlier, Akash Shetty scored the all-important winning goal as Sunday Boys got the better of Rudra FC by a narrow 1-0 margin in a First Division encounter.
