South Mumbai Maniacs held their nerves to regirster a narrow 60-59 victory against Mumbai Snipers in a Boys’ U-13 match of the Oympia Sports & Events organised 1st Basketball Development League (BDL), Mumbai edition and played at the VIBGYOR High School courts, Goregaon, West on Wednesday.

The BDL is conducted under the auspices of the North Mumbai District Basketball Association (NMDBA).
In a keenly contested match, South Mumbai enjoyed a slender 29-28 half time advantage. Moin K. with 25 points top-scored for South Mumbai while Tanay Badani chipped in with nine points. With the scores tied at 59-all Moin converted a free throw to secure South Mumbai’s victory.
Earlier, in a one-sided encounter, JB Navi Mumbai outplayed Pune Global Sports recording a 71-35 (HT: 36-24) win.
Arnesh Ganguly 25 points, Abhir Shetty 12 points, Jjaan Parekh 10 points scored for Navi Mumbai. For Pune Global Sports Vedant Kadam scored 20 points.
Results – Boys’: South Mumbai Maniacs (Moin K. 25, Tanay Badani 9) beat. Mumbai Snipers (Johan Joshua 30, Zayad S. 11) – 60-59 (HT: 29-28).
