Western Railway were firmly on the right track and steamrolled past Republicans SC by a 5-0 margin in an Elite Men’s match of the 15th Joe Fernandis Hockey Tournament 2026, organised by the AHWA and played at the St. Stanislaus High School turf ground, Bandra.

Western Railways Mohit Kothoute scored a hat-trick of goals
The star performer for the railwaymen was Mohit Kathoute who scored a hat-trick of goals. Harish S., and Anikit P. chipped in with the other two goal to seal the win.
In another Elite match, Mumbai Port Authority scored a fighting 3-2 win against Union Bank of India. Mari Rama, Shahbaz Khan and Stephen Swamy contributed with a goal each to secure MPA’s win while Santosh Bhosale and Kartik D. got one each for the bankers.
